For this Advent series, we will be going through a devotional called Low by John Pavlovits. As Advent is a season of joy, hopeful anticipation, and beautiful nativity scenes, we often forget the gritty reality of Jesus’s entrance into this world. Advent represents Jesus lowering himself to our human level in order to become Emmanuel, “God with us.” As Jesus lowered himself to meet us where we are, God calls us to also lower ourselves in humility, forgiveness, and sacrifice. Join us as we explore the “lowness” of Advent as we prepare our hearts and minds for the coming of Christ. The Devotional begins on Wednesday, NOV 27 and ends on Christmas, Wednesday DEC 25. Devotional books will be distributed on NOV 17 and 24 to all who register for the course.
