The trail to the summit is roughly a two-mile round-trip loop with a bail out point for folks not wishing to do the whole walk for about 1 mile. Goat Hill is a state preserve that once housed a 19th century quarry, a former scout camp, some interesting geology and a former goat pasture that has some Revolutionary War history/folklore associated with it that involves Gen. Washington. It affords several fairly attractive viewsheds of the Delaware Valley, Lambertville and New Hope looking into Bucks County.
