  • CHURCH HIKE

GOAT HILL OVERLOOK | LAMBERTVILLE, NJ

Rescheduled for - Sunday, June 1st at 1:00pm, Wayne Henderek will be leading a hike at Goat Hill Overlook in Lambertville., NJ. The hike is open to any age - kids and pets included :) There is availability for a maximum of 16 people to attend so please register early - registration is required!

Participants should bring drinking water and perhaps a snack, wear sturdy foot gear and dress for the weather. The hike will take place as weather permits.

Description of hike: The preserve is up Rt 29 in West Amwell Twp. along the Delaware, about a 20 min. ride from PCC. The trail to the summit is roughly a two-mile round-trip loop with a bail out point for folks not wishing to do the whole walk for about 1 mile. The trail is heavily wooded, fairly rocky, rugged and mostly high and dry. Other than for a brief uphill section at the start, it is relatively flat. Goat Hill is a state preserve that once housed a 19th century quarry, a former scout camp, some interesting geology and a former goat pasture that has some Revolutionary War history/folklore associated with it that involves Gen. Washington. It affords several fairly attractive viewsheds of the Delaware Valley, Lambertville and New Hope looking into Bucks County.

Parking is limited at the hiking site, so it is recommended that you consider carpooling over from PCC if you are able.

  • PRINCETON YOUTH CHURCH WEDNESDAYS

    SPRING STUDY

Many of today's students know about Jesus—a teacher who traveled around the Jewish countryside giving sermons, healing diseases, and casting out demons, before finally dying on the cross to save humanity. Some may even believe Jesus died for their sins. But for many students, their relationship with Christ is similar to the feelings they have for their favorite band—they know the facts, know the greatest hits, and may have the gear that shows their loyalty. In short, they're fans of Jesus. But is that enough? We will consider this question together as we read through Kyle Idleman's Not a Fan

Princeton Youth Church students (grades 6-12) meet on Wednesdays from 7-8pm in the youth room at PCC!
