COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP

Good News!

As a result of the diligent work of our Outreach Team, PCC is now Community Partners with Rivera Middle School in Trenton! Through this partnership the PCC community will meet the needs of students in the community at Rivera Middle School. The Outreach Team at PCC is looking forward to everything God has in store for this partnership and asks that we all begin to pray that the work we do alongside of this community will glorify God and that hearts will forever be changed because of God's amazing grace.

Bottled Water Collection | Extended to June 20th

If you plan to donate a case(s) of bottled water to the Rivera Middle School in Trenton, please drop-off on Sundays during our 9AM + 10:15AM services or Monday through Thursday from 8:30AM to 2:30PM until June 20th - we have a designated drop-off spot in the foyer.

Bicycle Collection | Through the Summer

In our ongoing relationship with the Rivera Middle School, PCC is joining the school’s campaign to collect new and used bicycles to give to students who have to walk nearly 2.5 miles through undesirable neighborhoods to get to school. Bikes will also be offered to parents who need transportation to get to work. Please consider donating any bikes you or your family or neighbors have that aren’t being used. Also, please be on the lookout for bikes at garage sales. A local bike shop has offered to refurbish any bikes that need some love. Of course new bikes are welcome as well.

Please drop-off the bikes at the church on Sundays during our 9AM + 10:15AM services or Monday through Thursday from 8:30AM to 2:30PM.

Our Outreach Team will make trips to the school to deliver the donated cases of water and bicycles.

Thank you, Church!

WORLD MISSIONS AT PCC

PLEASE PRAY FOR OUR FRIENDS IN HONDURAS

Lord, be with our brothers and sisters in Honduras, as they faithfully serve you in a place that is very challenging at times to just live. May they experience your blessings and protection from disease and violence. And please also be with the missionaries, including Ed Lockett, as they go and partner with what you are doing with the church in Honduras. We also ask this for all of our brothers and sisters, and your missionaries, throughout the world: to protect them from this pandemic and that the gospel would be proclaimed all the more despite the challenges of this time. And show us how we can be your hands and feet to those in our community who are now most vulnerable. All for your glory, Lord. Amen

LET US KNOW!

L O V E D.

We believe that God created us to be a tangible presence of grace and love in our communities and in the world.

Together, we strive to be a church that will give of ourselves and our resources to see lives near and far transformed in His name.

grow for giving

Grow for Giving started at PCC about six years ago to grow fresh vegetables and glean and purchase produce from local sustainable farms to give to neighbors with transportation disadvantages or other resource limitations. Stressed family budgets often result in consumption of less clean, less fresh and less heathy food. Emergency food providers are challenged to procure organic produce. Grow for Giving works to fill the gap of food insecurity and nutritional compromise. We believe the best food, both for consumers and for the environment, is grown locally with organic practices.

With the help and generosity of Alex and James of Fairgrown Farm and the hospitality of Stalin Bedon, the Grow for Giving ministry now operates a one-fifth acre donation garden called The Happy Helping Farm. This farm is located on Aunt Molly Road in Hopewell, NJ.

We had a great start this season and we're working to expand production for 2021. We have several opportunities to serve in this capacity. If you are interested in this ministry, we have several options for you:

  • visit or volunteer with us at the farm
  • learn about gleaning programs or other donation growers
  • join in the discussion about ideas to improve our efforts or expand our scope
  • connect with farmers to buy the best food for donating
  • help deliver to vulnerable neighbors, soup kitchens and food pantries
  • help source compost material

If you are interested in working with the Grow for Giving ministry on the Happy Helping Farm, please call or text:

street church ministry

The mission of Street Church Ministries and Church on the Block is to love and shepherd people living in crisis on the streets and within transitional housing in Trenton, NJ. Every Sunday morning the Street Church Ministries team visits people living on the streets of Trenton wherever they might be, in tents, under bridges, behind buildings etc.

On Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights, they facilitate small groups at transitional housing complexes, also known as a halfway house. In addition, the team helps provide for the physical needs of those who live in these housing units since they are typically just a step above homelessness.

haiti AND HONDURAS

PCC has been supporting Haiti Friendship Ministries and Ed Lockett, Jr. since 2009. We are encouraged by the work they are doing on the ground in Petit Goave, Haiti and the surrounding areas and have consistently sent teams to work alongside their ministry over the past years.

We began supporting Ed Lockett, Jr. and his journey into Honduras in 2016 and are planning a trip to work alongside him and his team as they bring God's love and grace to the lives of the people living there.
